Age: 3 years old
Some of our dogs need more time adjusting to their new life and surroundings.
Misty has complex issues and it is all thanks to her wonderful foster mum who has been giving her time to find her feet with lots of patience, space giving and TLC that her life is becoming so much easier for her.
She is doing better with having greyhounds Charlotte and Colt for company.
Her foster mum is working hard to help her overcome her fears and she can now walk alongside other dogs, as long as they don’t interact with her.
She is trusting of her humans but is still wary of strangers and we ask you not to approach her from behind as she is extremely sensitive about the back half of her body, so butt sniffing is a no go!
Although she may at first come across as very timid and scared, once you have earned her trust, she won’t leave your side!
Misty loves chilling next to you and cuddling, but playtime is her favourite so definitely requires someone who matches her energy levels, and lots of toys!
Misty is highly motivated by food but relies predominantly on trust which will show through her development.
Whilst Misty is enjoying living with her foster brother and sister, she would be best suited as an only dog with either a part time or full-time worker who can give her all their love.
She could potentially work with a couple or single person, but not with kids.
No cat homes either.
Her foster mum says that Misty is a gorgeous girl who requires a lot of love and work but will reward you tenfold with love.
If you think you would like to help Misty continue her journey to being a family member. Please call our adoption ladies.
