Age: 4 years old
Boof 4 1/2 yrs
Boof is quite the ladies’ man, and a big deal he thinks and is enjoying the company of women and eager to show affection and gain attention. He is also quite independent, fine left to snooze at home during the day and may even see himself to bed at night. Although Boof is great on a lead and never pulls, he might instead push gently against you in an attempt to multitask- because what is better than some neck scratches and a stroll? Quite clever, Boof knows some commands such as “wait” and is pretty obedient, knowing not to go into the kitchen or jump on the main bed. Sometimes Boof is a picky eater, but he is always keen on his meat. He gets excited when you come home and likes to excitedly walk around with his toys, but they usually end up in the backyard and he never brings them back inside. Interestingly, Boof is currently a burper and not a farter.
The one thing about Boof is that he’s had a history where he does not like men. In his current carer situation, Foster Mum is the favourite without really trying, and Foster Dad has had to remain strict with him to maintain trust and respect. If male visitors arrive Boof is best on the lead for introduction, and does not like when new people (especially men) are on their phones and pet him at the same time, even if he goes to them for attention. Boof still likes going to Foster Dad for head scratches, but he doesn’t follow him around as much as Mum nor sleep in his office. There haven’t issues in his current foster situation, but knowing this about him in advance we have tried to maintain strict boundaries and never approach him while he sleeps. Still, it is a consistent pattern that Boof seems to bond best with females as his foster mum adores him to pieces. Who needs men anyways?
Boof is NOT compatible with cats, small dogs and probably kids.
If you would like to know more about him, please have a chat with our adoption ladies and they can arrange a meet and greet for you.
