Age: 4 years old
This magnificent guy is 4 1/4 yrs.
He walks well on the lead. He gets excited to see other dogs, he just wants to say hello but we are working on polite and calm introductions as he is a big boy and we don’t want him to frighten other dogs and them get cross with him after all he just wants to be friends.
Roger’s foster mum walks him past an enclosed doggy park near me and he loves pressing his nose to the wire fence to say hello. Most of the dogs just love him. Although one grumpy dog snarled at him through the fencing but he did not react. He is very sweet natured and has made quite a few friends through the wire fencing at the park.
We think Roger needs not be in a young child home but with a family with maybe older children or a couple on their own would be great. His foster mum thinks he would be happier if he had another dog with him and if his new forever home had a garden for him to do his zoomies. Whilst he is ok as an only dog now he seems to like interacting and socialising with other dogs he metes. Foster Mum doesn’t think he would be OK left in a home where people work full time but guess’s if he had another dog with him, that would probably be fine.
Roger has become mischievous and playful which is a joy to watch.
He seems to love everyone and want to say hello to them. He gets very excited to see his foster Mum’s friends and runs up shaking his head and wagging his tail in excitement.
On walks he is very good but can be stubborn and would like to stop and take in the world in and needs some coaxing to move along.
At night Roger is so good. He just accepts it is bedtime and foster Mum doesn’t hear anything from him until she get s up in the morning. As soon as Mum gets ready and into bed for, he goes and lies on his bed and never tries to come into her bedroom or make any noise.
Overall Roger is a lovely dog who has won a lot of hearts here in the complex where he lives with his foster Mum.
