GAWA’s Great Global Greyhound Walk 2026
Time: 9:00 – 14:00
Where: Yellagonga Park, Woodvale
We are looking forward to the Great Global Walk 2026 and we hope break the record of being second largest walk in the world!
Please join us to make it an even bigger event than last year 🐾

There will be prizes for best dressed, so get those creative juices flowing!
The Greyhound Adoptions WA stall will be there with information, merchandise, and to talk everything greyhounds.

Please note all well behaved dog breeds are welcome however only sighthounds breeds will be counted in the total.
🚗 Parking will be out of the front of Woodvale Secondary College (110 Woodvale Drive, Woodvale).
Often apps take people to the back of the school on Timberlane Drive – these gates will not be open.
What is the Great Global Greyhound Walk?
The Great Global Greyhound Walk is a worldwide celebration of greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds, bringing together thousands of dogs and their owners for one special day each year.
Held in towns, cities and countryside across the globe, these walks help raise awareness of sighthounds as gentle, loving pets and promote greyhound adoption and rehoming.
Organised by local volunteers, every walk is a chance to meet fellow sighthound owners, make new friends and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Whether you are part of a big group or walking on your own, everyone is welcome to join the global sighthound community and take part.

Kyilla Community Farmers Market
Time: 8:00 – 11:30
Where: 36 Clieveden St, North Perth
Greyhound Adoptions WA will be at Kyilla Community Farmers Market!
You’ll get to meet the grower and do your weekly grocery shopping whilst you enjoy a morning in the park. Take home a bounty of fresh produce and treat yourself to freshly brewed coffee and delicious food including gourmet bacon and egg sandwiches.
At the Greyhound Adoptions WA Stall there will be foster dogs for you to meet and merchandise for sale. We will also have volunteers ready to answer all your questions about fostering or adopting a greyhound.

Baldivis Lions Community Market

Greyhound Adoptions WA will be at Baldivis Lions Community Market!
This is a local community market run by the Lions Club of Baldivis. Featuring over 50 stalls of craft items, fresh produce and hot food with a car boot section for second hand goods. Gold coin donation on entry with all proceeds going to local community groups.

Greyhound Adoptions WA will be at Vic Park Farmers Markets!
On the first Sunday of every month the Vic Park Farmers Market theme is “Pets in the Park”! There will be stalls showcasing pet products as well as a petting farm. There will also be hot coffee, delicious bakery treats and bread, fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, face painting and live entertainment.

* 6 Hour Challenge: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
* 6 Hour Challenge: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
* 12 Hour Challenge: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Whether you choose six hours or the full twelve, you’ll be making a real difference to greyhounds waiting for their forever homes.
What to Bring:
Bring along anything that will help keep you entertained in complete silence, such as:
💺 A comfortable chair or beanbag
📚 Books or magazines
🧶 Knitting or crochet
✏️ Colouring books or puzzles
🎨 Scrapbooking or craft projects
✒️ Journals or sketchbooks
🧁 Your favourite snacks
The Challenge
For the duration of your chosen challenge, participants must not:

📱 Use mobile phones or electronic devices
All devices will be safely stored during the event, leaving you free to disconnect from technology and enjoy a rare opportunity to simply be present.
