BUSSELTON GREYHOUND AWARENESS.
“UPDATE”
Maisie needs a new home as her foster mum may to go into hospital.
We would love it if we could find a forever home for this beautiful girl!
Here is Maisie’s story!
If you are looking for a Greyhound X Staffie, that looks like a Greyhound X Staffie and acts like a Greyhound X Staffie then Maisie could be the dog for you.
It’s time that our foster girl Maisie WALKED OFF INTO THE SUNSET with her new parents.
Maisie is 50% greyhound x 50% Hungarian Greyhound, Whippet, and Staffordshire Bull terrier according to her DNA.
She is a large girl weighing in at around 33kg. So will need to go with older children as she can be a bit clumsy.
She is a RSPCA rescued dog, she had been starved, she was forced to live in a small cage, and was very badly treated. Since being rescued she has put on 10 kilos since she has been in Foster Care.
Having said that she has the most beautiful loving nature and that side of her life isn’t visible.
When she came to us, she was very scared of outside noises which often resulted in her jumping a 6ft fence.
That no longer happens but her new home would need high fences just in case she gets spooked and not to be left outside unattended till she is settled.
She does get frightened when she hears gunshots on the tv, a leftover from her past life.
She is an inside dog and loves to be loved, and she is good to be left home for a short time.
Maisie still needs some training and socialisation, she is a quick learner so would benefit from someone who is home a lot and who will dote on her and give her the boundaries she needs when she gets over loving.
Once settled in her new home she will make a very loving pet.
Please share this so we can find her perfect home if you cannot help her.
She has several walkers, here is what one of them has to say about her.
I have been walking Miss M a few times a week to assist her foster carer.
She has a lot of love to give.
M is a pleasure to walk, even with her sidekick Kozzie in tow.
She is curious though often very timid as she is still learning to be comfortable with sounds and strangers.
Miss M responds well to a confident word while walking finding security in your reassurance.
It’s lovely watching her learn to play and be silly. She’s come a long way in the few weeks I’ve known her.
If you think you could be the family for this girl, please message by Direct Message at Busselton Greyhound Awareness Miss M is ready to take that next step.
