Poppy was our 10th foster girl and arrived to us after a long drive from Darwin. She was smelly, dirty, but excited about her new home and an assortment of beds to choose from. Our usual tradition of ordering pizza the first night we have a foster dog didn’t happen, it was like an omen to let us know Poppy wasn’t just a foster – but will become a permanent part of our family.

Poppy has been in our lives for 3 and a half years now and we cannot imagine life without her. She is extremely independent, the boss of the house, and may as well be part-Husky with how much she howls and barks when she wants something!

Though her face is a lot frostier, she wets her bed a lot more, and is stiffer with her movements after breaking her hock racing, she is a puppy at heart.

Thank you Greyhound Adoptions WA for all you do for greyhounds in WA and all over Australia. You’re all saviours and we are forever thankful for bringing Soda, Poppy and Belle in to our lives.

❤️ A huge thank you to Lachy for sharing your “Success Story” with Greyhound Adoptions WA.
