I “rescued ” Boots on march 16, 2019.
I did not want a dog. I had a very busy life at the time. Work. Kids, sports etc.
My daughter, Sarah, wanted a dog.
We compromised.
I admit to knowing very little about Greyhounds until 2019.

When Boots moved him. He was so shy and nervous. He just didn’t know what to do with himself.

It took him 2 years to bark.

We talk about how we adopt them. We rescue them. But we don’t talk about how they rescue us.

Boots saved my life. I had some serious medical and mental health issues over the last 2 years and he has been my beacon. Always goofy and sweet. Always up for a cuddle. He seems to know when I struggled and just loved me up.

He know rules the house and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thanks GAWA and Ellen for matching the most perfect being to me. Can dogs be our soul mates? ❤️

❤️ A huge thank you to Anne Marie for sharing your “Success Story” with Greyhound Adoptions WA.
