I adopted Rodney (previously known as Figs) back in October 2022. He had fur missing from his thighs and looked a bit on the thin side, however he was soon putting on weight and within 6 months was up to his current weight of 35kg.
Rodney settled in within the first week or so. He enjoys his food, laying on his many inside and outside beds, tearing up the lawn with a quick zooomie and then laying down in the sandy areas, or making his own mini excavation site..!
Walk time is a happy one although Rodney prefers to not spend time with small or fluffy dogs. We have our “system” which is an on ongoing and improving process to deal with these situations. He has several dog friends including two big labradors and two bullys, amongst a few others!
I was very concerned and apprehensive about leaving him when I went away for a 5 days last year. He spent the time with my elderly parents who he knows and visits often. They described him as “no trouble” during his stay.
I no longer need an alarm clock for a daily 6am or sometimes earlier wake up call!
Rodney is and always will be a much loved part of my life and household.
A huge thank you to Trevor for giving Rodney the perfect forever!
