Denver
Gender: Male
Age: 4 years old

Four and half year-old Denver has been in foster care a couple of weeks now and we have an update on how he is doing from his foster dad.
Denver has adjusted easily to pet life and gets on well with the family dog Jen.
“Denver is a strong boy and needs a confident owner to continue his training when out walking and slow introductions when meeting dogs both big and small”.
He is well behaved on the lead and has adapted quickly to a harness. He has learnt quickly and responded well to commands like “Wait” & “OK” when crossing a road.
Denver’s first meeting with my 3 visiting granddaughters (ages 6, 8 & 11) went well, as he’s a big, energetic “goofball” of a dog and not knowing his history was therefore unsure how he might react. So we did gentle relaxed introductions, he calmly met each child in turn. I needn’t have worried! He was gentle and lapped up all the attention he got.
He loved the pats stroking & tummy tickles. At times he had attention from the 3 girls all at once but was not perturbed. The youngest stuck to Denver and said he was very “cuddly”.
So, Denver gets the “little kids” tick of approval!
Denver is very affectionate, loves ear scratches, belly rubs and lots of attention.
His foster Dad says when I’m standing with my hand hanging at my side he’ll come along and put his head into my hand seeking pats and ear scratches, when I’m sitting, he’ll push his snoot up to my face to get pats & ear scratches.
He has learnt from Jen how to ask for belly rubs by either arching his back or gently pawing as I walk past.
Denver is a high-energy dog, loves to romp and chase with Jen, so we think he would suit someone with a reasonable-sized yard.
Denver is very food-orientated and there has been no problems feeding him, so he’ll be easy to train with the aid of treats!
He has quickly learnt to use the pet flap after following Jen so eats his meals and treats outside (as Jen does).
He goes outside when he needs to toilet.
Denver is a lovely & loving dog with a very friendly personality and has shown himself to be highly adaptable. He would delight any fur parent with his personality and antics!
No cat homes please!
