After losing my small white 15yo fluffy during Xmas 2021, I signed up to foster greys after matching my dog ownership wishlist to greyhound attributes:

Low exercise demands ✔️
Lounge lizards ✔️
Chill quirky personalities ✔️

Fostering seemed to be a good way to fill the empty space in our home and help these beautiful dogs transition at the same time. Onyx arrived and was his own dog right from the start, a respectful gentleman who wasn’t afraid to enforce some boundaries. He was always willing to learn, follow the rules and was just a happy gentle soul. Needless to say we appreciated his low maintenance and gentle qualities and when asked to write a profile for his possible adoption it didn’t take long to say that wasn’t necessary!

I am very sorry that Greyhound Adoptions WA lost a foster carer very quickly but I could not give this handsome giant up. Onyx’s first gotcha day is in about a month, on his 5th birthday. I am planning to buy a bigger house to continue the foster journey one day, or just become a crazy greyhound lady 🤗

❤️ Thank you, Imelda for sharing your “Success Story” with Greyhound Adoptions WA.
