Success Story: Lina

I knew I wanted a greyhound, even long before losing my beloved Rottie Cas on Christmas Day.

After a few very quiet weeks of not having happy paws trotting around my house, I decided it was time to put my name down for a cat friendly greyhound. I knew it could take months to find the right fit, for me and the dog.

The night before I unexpectedly got a call about adopting Lina, Cas sent me a dream telling me I would adopt a new black dog. When I got the phone call about Lina I was so shocked and excited it was happening so quickly. I met Lina and her foster cat tester, Bec and I just knew Lina was going to be my new best friend.

Lina has settled into being a house dog so easily, she is a little shadow, follows me around everywhere and is constantly wagging her tail, roaching and doing greyhound purrs.

Lina is the happiest, cheekiest, and funniest girl I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Lina will happily play by herself by throwing around toys and catching them. She enjoys 2 walks a day, especially sniffing and meeting other dogs often hopping with excitement.

When Lina isn’t roaching or playing she is a real cuddle bug, often making sure she is touching me when having a nap and making sure I’m never without her kisses for long.

❤️ A huge thank you to Emma for sharing your “Success Story” with Greyhound Adoptions WA.
