My partner, Keegan and I adopted Archie in 2020. We had just relocated to Perth and were looking to adopt a dog which would suit our lifestyle. We both agreed we wanted a relatively low maintenance breed that would be happy chilling out most of the time. After a friend mentioned how beautiful greyhounds were, we decided to reach out to GAWA and the rest is history.
Archie was such a shy boy when we first met him but after a few weeks or so, started to show his personality. He is definitely not afraid to let us know it’s time for a walk/breakfast/dinner.
He is such a smart boy and has learnt “down” “wait” and “on your bed”. Being very food driven definitely helped with his training!
Every morning when I’m putting on my shoes for work he comes up to me and waits for his belly rubs. 
Archie was our first greyhound and first foster fail. Our lives changed for the better when we met him. We love him so much.
