We were first time foster parents and SO nervous as I saw Ronny and his little white tipped tail hop out of the GAWA volunteer’s car. He was skinny, had fleas and was wide eyed scared. But we had so much support from the GAWA family.
Over the weeks we got to know his sweet and gentle personality. My daughter formed a bond with him immediately!
It didn’t take long for a family to adopt him but the universe had other plans. He came back to me after the family had a change of heart. We could never let him go again!
Ronny has had a profound effect on the kids. He has helped them understand how he and other greyhounds are survivors. He’s still bonded with my daughter and will rest his head on her while she colours or reads books to him.
We think he is the best greyhound in the world. We’re so lucky to have Ronny in our lives thanks to GAWA.
