Hi there, I’m Pirate and I’m 2.

I’m a loving, playful, social young boy. I’m toilet trained, learning “heel, stop, stay, come, give” I’m learning to use enrichment and puzzle toy’s as I like to keep busy and play with thing’s when my human is out. I’m learning to walk well on the lead and love going out to explore the world.

I love to play with other dog’s, I like to play with balls, soft toy’s and tug ropes especially when one of my foster brothers or sister joins in on the game of tug o war. I’m good with big and small dogs.

I’m learning it’s ok to be left home alone, I like to be able to go inside and out as I please, if I need to go out, I’ll let you know by standing at the door and if you don’t pick up on the cue, I’ll give you a little whine. I don’t like being locked outside, it’s too cold, I enjoy the comforts of the big human couch and bed. I need a human to continue on with my training and be patient with me and committed. Possibly a partime work household would be better for me.

I like meeting new people and kid’s, I can go to a home with dog savvy kid’s over 10yo due to my size and my bouncy playfulness. I do prefer children who will respect my space, not flood me and have manners around me.

I’d like a good sized backyard that I can cut my zoomies in. Zoomies are a highlight of my day and so much fun. I can go to part time or full time workers if you take time off to settle me in properly and set me up for success when you return to work. If you’re home more then not, that’s a bonus as I do prefer company.

When I’m hungry I’ll pick up my bowl and put it on my dog bed or play with it until you feed me. I’m a bit of a grazer and I enjoy my meat and vegies for dinner!
