I adopted Ginger in August after saying farewell to my precious Maddie. Ginger was found abandoned and sent to Mandurah Pound. Unclaimed, GAWA rescued her, and she began her new life with her foster caregivers, Kim and Billie. They gave her a wonderful start to home life with foster boy Kai until she came to live with me.
Ginger made herself right at home! Being underweight and with weak rear legs due to little muscle did not stop her from zoomies. She has continued to grow and build muscle, and she is definitely now stronger. Ginger loves her food (and my cat Toby’s food, any chance she can get ). Her deerhound/wolfie hair is growing more every day, and the 5% Koolie in her is evident with her love of balls!
Ginger is very bright and learns super quickly! With her loose hips, she can sit, and now she sits without request, anticipating a potential treat! Ginger still has mild isolation anxiety but has come a significant way to feeling safer when left alone for several hours.
Ginger celebrated her first birthday on 08 October (guestimate DOB per vet). Thank you, Toni, for giving Ginger a chance at a greyt life!
