Horse
Gender: Male
Age: 5 years old

Meet the lovely 5 ½ year old Horse with a great update from his foster Mum.
Some of you may remember Horse, Horse came back into foster care early December.
Anxious and scared, Horse would pull and bark at any on coming dogs or nearby dogs on a walk, he was so anxious of the world he wouldn’t let strangers say hello to him. He’d spend most of his days curled up on his bed tucked away from the house away from loud noises and people.
Horse today is a totally different dog, Horse enjoys his daily walks and will happily walk past dogs and people without an issue, he may show some interest but nothing too alarming and he’s still learning that strangers aren’t scary.
At GAWA’S weekend events Horse even goes up to all types of dogs without any issues, sometimes the loud dogs can be quite intimidating.
Horse will need a home where he has access to the house 24/7 if he’s locked outside while you go out he gets quite upset and Horse doesn’t settle.
Due to Horse being an anxious hound a suitable home for him would be a quiet home with no kids, another calm dog and part time/ casual workers, he’s currently used to our full-time schedule but some days he tends to struggle with the long hours.
Horse loves to be your best friend he’ll help out with the chores, gardening and binge watching tv, he’ll always be there by your side but if in doubt things get a little loud or over the top, he’ll take his time out on his bed till he has freshened up to join the activity again.
Horse also loves a good firm ear scratch, loves to play fetch with his monkey, well not so much bring it back fetch more like you throw, Horse grabs and you find the toy and do all over again and he loves his paddle pool.
With those 3 things you’ve won Horse over.
Horse’s foster carers have done an amazing job with him, giving him the time, space and TLC he needed and he is now ready to go to his own forever home.
